All pet owners face the dilemma of where to leave their pets when on a holiday. And even when you do find a good place or sitter, you are constantly missing them during your vacation. Fortunately, there are an increasing number of hotels that offer you a comfortable stay along with your animal friends. Here are seven such pet-friendly hotel chains in the United States that you can choose from for your next holiday or business trip:
Taking the meaning of ‘pet-friendly’ to a whole new level is the boutique hotel chain, Kimpton. With 59 hotel properties in the United States, this group displays its dedication to all pets by not charging guests anything extra for bringing pets and doing away with any weight limits. 12 of their properties even have a canine ambassador, called the Director of Pet Relations, to give you a warm welcome. What makes this chain one of the most welcoming pet-friendly hotel groups are amenities such as pet beds, bowls, and treats. To top it, they even offer concierge lists of pet-friendly parks and restaurants in the vicinity, and special options such as doga- a human and dog yoga session. The best part is that unlike most other hotels, dogs are not the only pets welcomed here—you can bring along any furry, scaly, or feathery family member you want. So just lie back and enjoy your nightly complimentary wine reception—you guessed it right, your pet is more than welcome to join the party!
One of the leaders in pet-friendly travel, Best Western is a low cost, unfussy option for you to take your pet. This hotel chain has over 1,600 properties in various locations where you can stay with your pets. They allow two dogs of up to 80 pounds each in one room. Some of their hotels also allow other pets that include cats, monkeys, birds, and snakes but you need to take prior approval from the particular hotel. Best Western charges a maximum of $20 per day for each room with a pet, or a maximum per-week charge of $100. In addition, guests with pets might have to pay a refundable damage deposit.
