Some of the places that must be visited include the Citadel and the outstanding Chateau Frontenac. Old Montreal, in the city of Montreal, is an old town where some of the historic buildings have been renovated into tourist shops and restaurants. The Notre-Dame Basilica being one of the most striking sights. The best way to enjoy these old cities is for you to walk around these quarters while breathing in the atmosphere. The island of Newfoundland is separated from mainland in Canada and is home to a slower life with fishing villages and spectacular natural beauty.
Perfect Time for a Canada Cruise
Even though the Canada cruise season usually runs from May to October, you will find lots of options of ships during the months of August and September. If you are cruising with your kids, it is advisable that you sail during the summer months of July and August. If you are planning a trip without the kids, then the leaf changing autumn months of September to mid-October are perfect. July and August are the warmest months in Canada whereas May, June, and October are rather chilly.
If you want to see the whales off the Atlantic coast of Canada, the ideal time differs by location. The perfect time to see these spectacular creatures off the Labrador and Newfoundland coasts is during June to early August. Between the months of July and September is the ideal time to spot whales in the Bay of Fundy. During the summer months, Prince Edward Island offers you the opportunity to spot seals.
